Rice bowl without rice? 0 stars.I have been a faithful customer to Koobala for the last year. I came in at 5:30pm on a weekday and ordered a rice bowl Huli, something I’ve always ordered for the past year. Not only did the server not tell me there was no more rice, BUT HID IT underneath a cup full of corn. Literally this is like 1 solid cup of corn which I didn’t ask for. What is with the lies Koobala? Why didn’t you tell me there was no rice so that I wouldn’t have gotten your rice bowl? Why not ask me what I might have instead and as a courtesy add more chicken to make up for the fact there is no rice?Your restaurant needs more honest communication. Koobala is what I'd call a hidden gem.If you're a lover of Nando's, Chipotle, Cava/Mezze, this is the place for you. A superb chicken place to choose from Mediterranean, Latin South Pacific cuisines, with priority given to LOTS of soft, juicy tasty chicken, this is a heaven for food lovers. Super cheap, great food, yet not at all crowded (which it definitely deserves to be). We visited this restaurant when it first opened and were not impressed by the food selection. However, we decided to give it another chance. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the service was good. The atmosphere was relaxed and laid-back. The Latin bowl was delicious with well-balanced seasoning. The fried eggplant was a tasty option for eggplant lovers. The spicy chicken sandwich was decent in taste, but it lacked the expected level of spiciness. The sauce poured over the sandwich made the bread soggy, which is more of a personal preference issue. I plan to try the regular chicken sandwich next time. Visited Koobala today, the woman who took my order was very sweet and gave me recommendations and asked helpful questions. I got the original chicken sandwich with coleslaw along with a side of sweet potato fries. They were both very decent, the sandwich was eaten in minutes! The fries had good flavor, wish they were crispier however. The seating area is large with lots of seating, I came in to eat just after 1pm on a Thursday and there were almost no other customers. The seating area was my least favorite part, just too big and felt sparse, the soda machine is very loud and kind of downs out the music. I was really impressed with the quality of everything at this restaurant. I went with my friends to try their chicken sandwich, and let me tell you, you won't be able to resist coming back for more after you try it. I wish this place all the best and I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

I really enjoy the Latin rice bowl at this restaurant. The chicken was marinated just right and the sauce added a nice flavor. Although it is a bit pricey at $12 for a rice bowl, the portion size is on the smaller side. However, the food is delicious overall and the staff is friendly.

Ever since my friends and I came here for the first time, we’ve been back atleast once every week. Food is as authentic as it gets and there is always great service. I have not had a single thing that was disappointing. Place is a sleeper and is sure to blow up soon.

Just amazing, found this place completely empty. This place has quality low calorie food and one of the tastiest and super clean places in Fairfax. Prices are decent and portions are quite good. This is my new favorite ill come here or order often.

Underrated! The bowls are a great portion for the price, they feel clean and healthy, and the chicken is flavorful and delicious! Definitely recommend, can’t believe I didn’t find this place sooner.
