Kruse's Deer Lake Inn

Went here for takeout. Normally everything is good but we waited an extra 45 minutes after given time because the cook forgot to throw on some of the food. The takeout people were at least apologetic and polite. Not the issue but definitely worth mentioning.I’m not sure that the fish was completely cooked or something was wrong with maybe the pizza because it’s currently 4am and I’ve been sick the last 4 hours puking. It’s 100 percent this food because it’s all I ate besides eggs in the morning. They forgot the fish and I’m assuming maybe pulled it early to rush it out but definitely not happy after waiting an extra 45 minutes just to get this sick. I can’t even keep water down at this point...

The menu is diverse and changes over time. Five of us dined there and everyone was very pleased with their selection. The bread served before ordering was delicious as were my crab cakes. Prices and serving sizes are reasonable. Our waitress was very thoughtful and prompt. I tend to lean toward regional cuisine but Deer Lake Inn has a wide variety of great tasting food. Dietary restrictions: Several gluten-free options are available.

We had lunch here after our Mother’s funeral at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Willow was our server and she was absolutely wonderful! She made a very sad day brighter. The food was hot and delicious! The gazpacho was fresh and one of the best I’ve ever had! Everyone in our party enjoyed every dish. Thank you for an excellent meal and thank you Willow for taking such great care of us!

Bought two $100.00 dining gift cards on line for friends. Was awarded two $20.00 coupons. Tried to redeem one today. “Sorry expired in March”. . No explanation by waitress. Cold, and not consumer friendly to someone who spent $200.00 trusting the restaurant with this advance amount. Not gracious. Reserva una mesa ahora

Server said hello once and then disappeared. Two other tables sat later and placed orders before we saw her again. Probably a good place and other servers were active. Is what it is, we asked to pay for our drinks and left for more attentive service. Too expensive to settle.

We were here for a birthday party in the sun room. Food was good, large portions. Servers were nice and did a great job. Enjoyed it!

First timer here, and everything was wonderful! Had the chicken cheese tortellini, and it was very flavorful. Will be back!
