Kruse’s Deer Lake Inn became my favorite restaurant in the area. They have some unique flavors (like their current harvest salad, the candied pecans, apples, bacon, goat cheese and a bacon vinegar that sounds questionable, but is quite delicious). And everything on the menu is great and they have a wide selection of dishes, depending on how I feel (Ribs, parmesan encrusted flounder, fish and chips, black chicken slaughter, Tortellini Pasta with chicken and palomino sauce). You always have a good desert on the menu also (the four berries crucifix is my favorite, and now it is apple crucifix). The service was absolutely amazing every time I was there, and the management was also exceptional.
What a wonderful experience! The food is great and the staff is amazing. Kudos to Justin and Josh who actually pretended to be bears as we are on the deck and as they delivered the wine they gave our children the most delightful scare ever. The Marylandchicken is my all-time favorite and the stuffed mushrooms are fantastic. To be frank for the price, you're getting anincredible deal on amazing food.
I went with my grandpa who uses a walker and has some difficult getting around and they were so accommodating and helpful from the moment we walked in until the moment we left. Amazing service and excellent food. They had a wide variety of options andsuch a fantastic dining atmosphere. I had the Michigan berry salad which was so fresh and delicious. I highly recommend stoppingby!
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary and we couldn't have picked a better place! Loved the menu selections. They had a great variety of seasonal dishes and cocktails! We had the pleasure of being served by Mike the bartender who has a great senseof humor. Very enjoyable evening. I highly recommend the Deer Lake Inn!

Get the summer Walleye special. The Vegetable side is simply amazing. The MI Summer Berry salad was also excellent. This place never disappoints and with the rotating specials menu there is always something new and tasty to try. Always great service andKate continued that trend!
I was very disappointed to find that both loaves of bread were burnt. The bottoms were completely black! They should not have sent this out on DoorDash, as they would not have served it to me if I was dining inside the restaurant.
The 1/3 Pound Ramp Room Burger was charred and overdone. The Fish and Chips plate had a small serving size considering the cost, and there was no tartar sauce provided.
The fish was super fishy by taste and smell. The Panroasted Chicken was like a bunch of ingredients strewn about in a bowl of blandness.

The mashed potatoes were the best I've ever had. The entire meal was amazing!!!
The Lobster Shrimp Fettuccine is delicious! Recommend bread and garlic dip too.
