So my wife and I are crazy sushi fans and have gone hours in driving to get good sushi. On Christmas morning during a heavy rain pour, we were in the mood for some hot soup noodle in one of our favorite restaurant in Arcadia. When we arrived, lo and behold, a brand new sushi grille had opened up next to it. Somehow my wife talked me into trying it instead. I 'm so glad she did. It 's a small, quaint little place with greater than exceptional quality sushi, sashimi and creative rolls. The fish was fresh, portions were large. Kyoku Sushi is a delightful little find in Arcadia, conveniently located in the 99¢ Store Plaza. A friend shared a piece of the Sakura roll with me, and it was absolutely divine. I knew I had to order some for dinner. The Monster roll may look light, but it’s bursting with flavor and satisfaction. The scallop on top is simply delicious. My favorite was the Sapporo roll, particularly with the tuna topping. The classic Spicy Tuna roll delivers a nice kick that’s always appreciated and just melts in your mouth. The salmon roll is simple yet flavorful. I recommend calling ahead to place your order to save yourself some waiting time at Kyoku Sushi.
Found this new sushi place on New Year's Eve, the menu has a great selection and the staff was so nice and friendly. They were out of an ingredient which we didn't mind at all, but they still gave us some free miso soup and drinks. It was very clean and affordable and wait was short especially for how much we ordered. Not to mention how great the food and such good quality. Definitely going to be our go to!
Fresh fish, impeccably clean and good service. Due to Covid surges they were offering take out only and they made it an easy process. This was my first time here so I'm not sure how many people the restaurant actually seats because it is a small one room establishment. I dined at this restaurant yesterday. It was more affordable than the place next door, which was a nice surprise. The sushi was average, maybe slightly above average. However, the woman who encouraged us to come in while we were just browsing the menu outside was a bit overly persistent, and in a negative way. On the plus side, the service was quite quick.
