We wanted to find a good restaurant near Isola 2000 slopes; I remembered spending a very nice dinner at l’Avalanche in 2019. On this year’s visit, I recalled why I enjoyed this place so much : the service is laid back but very good, people are attention to details, check regularly and want you to be well. The food is very well prepared, whether it is the mountain specialties such as Raclette and Tartiflette or the burgers and other tartare meats. They offered us the digestifs aged Rhum or Vodka prepared with apples and Citrics). I really recommend !
We spent 7 nights in Isola and although there were many good restaurant, we decided to go 4 times to have dinner in L 'AVALANCHE! There are so many options and great food, but what made us back is the fantastic service we received from the team and specifically from Morgan. She showed so much care and she made us feel home. There is a great management as every waiter we came across was great. We will definitely recommend to our friends.
This is one of the most friendly and kind restaurants I have been to in my life. Every product used is local and from French origin. The fondue savoyarde au Beaufort was the best fondue eaten at a restaurant in my life. The charcuterie was unlimited and tasted very well. This is not normal as most restaurants ask for a supplement. The wine advices were very good and the white wine fitted very well with the complex taste of the cheese.
Excellent service, excellent food and a fantastic location. We visited 3 times as it was so good and we usually wouldn’t return to a restaurant but here there is no question as to why, it’s a must visit and a must return to place. Clothilde and her team are the warmest most welcoming people and their cuisine is the best in Isola.
