We thought we had a reservation at a restaurant, but it had a sign on the door: Closed for the holiday, Buon Fete We were very happy to find a table at this congenial place that filled to the brim with folks who had been here before. Après deux essais, nous avons pu avoir une table, c'est dire l'importance de réserver, et c'est mérité! Ce restaurant ne paie pas de mine, mais il est manifestement très apprécié des connaisseurs, notamment locaux. Nous avons déjeuné d'un plateau de fruits de mer. Cela suffit amplement pour un excellent repas (un petit dessert à la rigueur). Armé de patience et équipé des outils nécessaires, on y déguste une foison de langoustines (extraordinaires), crevettes, huîtres, crabe (tourteau et étrilles), bigorneaux, en tentant de résister au mieux à la délicieuse mayonnaise. We stayed in Landeda for one week and visited L’ecailler 3 times. The food is delicious, very fresh seafood, simple and well cooked with very friendly staff. The fish soup is one of the best I’ve ever had. We will miss this restaurant.

Very lucky to get a table here it seems. We had the poelee des abers, a skillet full of seafood, fantastic, highly recommended. Table wine good and service was excellent.

Welcoming cosy restaurant. Family feel and homely food at a decent price. A seafood lovers heaven! Will definitely return.
