La Bastide de Marie used to be my ultimate favourite hotel. Unfortunately the restaurant service is so terrible and we even gave it a second try, as we love the ambience and gorgeous property so much. But with the same result, even without telling our friends our previous experience they mentioned the serice within the first 5 min of arriving. Secondly you can not only order a minimum of 3 courses, which is too much for lunch outside in 36 degrees. Fine dinning, beautiful, but the lunch menu really should be the dinner menu and then for lunch, have some choices, a nice salad, sharing dishes. I truly hope the management will take this into consideration, as we have been coming for many years...
Love, love, love de Mairie! Gorgeous setting, interior, and exterior at the foot of Menerbes. Plenty of windows to enjoy the views on a cold, rainy day. The trout entree appetizer was amazing! Perfect combination of flavor and gorgeous to look at. Paired this with the house white. (Save your money for a bottle and buy it at the winery tasting room next door). For the main dish, I had the veal slow ckk9ed and tender with slivers.of candied.orange peel and fresh rosemary. Yum!

Thanks to mireille, julian and the whole bastide team we spent a delicious Christmas stay. delicate attentions very appreciated to make your stay as pleasant as possible. aperitif at the corner of the fire or on the terrace before sharing the right meals. A small detour with elodie at the spa and everything is perfect. You won't change anything. to very soon and good season end.
We came for lunch. Incredible quality on the plate, presentations, combinations of tastes and flavors. Bravo to the chef and his team. Also thank you very much to Claire who provided us with impeccable service with great sympathy. I will come back with my eyes closed. Thanks again Rock

We stopped on our bike ride on a whim and are so glad we did. We enjoyed the best meal we had on our whole trip. The garden setting and fresh food were delicious and well proportioned.
The prettiest place we visited in the south of France. The setting and food was perfect. Definitely go for a walk around the grounds after your meal!
