Myself and my wife ate here on our trip to the south of France two weeks ago. From the outside this restaurant does not look like the kind of place I would normally eat at, but as there was not many restaurants open in the town on a Tuesday night. We decided to give it a go. Which turned out to work in our favour. The menu here is not expensive and food size and quality totally worth it. The salad for starter was great and the main great. The only negative was that there wasn't really any traditional french desserts With menu just a lot of tarts. The atmosphere is great inside, the decor a bit tacky but I guess it adds to the ambience. Just one waiter who seemed to de everything well and was very friendly. Did not seem to speak much English but we got by with our limited french, would defiantly eat again here.

In Nyons for a few days, we went to La Batida that had re-opened after a few years off.Not only the atmosphere inside is very pleasant and one can admire beautiful portraits of African people and Senegalese scenery, but we were warmly welcomed and the food was copious, tasty and fresh. We had chicken Yassa, lime marinated prawns, home made "profiterolles" covered with lucious chocolate sauce, and all was delicious!I recommend that you go and enjoy the warmth and the exotic touch of chef Cher, who came from Senegal a long time ago and does well what he does.A place to visit, for lunch and for dinner !

Really good food. Having never indulged in this type of cuisine before I wasn't ure what to expect but can say that it was all very nice and full of flavour. Price was very good especially considering the size of meals especially the delicious salads. Serve was good but felt the only waiter was rushed off his feet at time during a busy lunch time.

We chose the restaurant on spec when we were walking around Nyons after visiting the market (Thursday). It didn't dissapoint, the service was good even though there is only one waiter (he works hard) and the food was very tasty. Worth a visit.
