"We had some excellent food here, and the waiter selected a very good bottle of red wine for us. A lot of original or somewhat different dishes to the standard fare. Also all the other plates coming out for other customers looked really good."

We had dinner here in June. We ordered a couple of beers which unusually for Spain came in large goblets, like the fishbowl glasses you often get with a gin and tonic. The place was busy, but not ridiculously so. A few minutes in, the waitress pushed through a too small gap between our table and a pillar in such a careless hurry that she slammed into our table, knocked our glasses over and half a litre of beer ended up in my lap. Only the most cursory of apologies, and they made us feel like troublesome foreigners (even tho I was speaking in Spanish). I had to ask for some napkins to mop my dress and they never bothered to clean up the floor. Rest of service was chaotic, inattentive and slow...we waited ages to pay. The jamón and other embutidos were fantastic and really high quality, but due to the service our overall experience was bad.

La Bellotera serves exquisite dishes, largely based in gastronomy from Extremadura, but perfectly nested in Sanlúcar de barrameda, one of the andalucian gastronomy exponents. Service is reasonably fast, but quality doesn 't suffer. Staff is very friendly and knows perfectly what they serve. I dare to quote Bobog1979: La Bellotera is something else than all the fried stuff , we consider it one of the best places to eat in Andalucia.

This restaurant is just far enough out of the main plaza to be less hectic but close enough to have atmosphere. The menu is relatively limited so it's all fresh and their offering is quite unique. The food is really good and the staff very friendly, attentive and helpful. I'd highly recommend it.

We were looking for a more quiet place and by coincidence we found this restaurant. We took of course tapas, Iberico ham, croquetas and a pluma of the Iberio pork. All was delicious and affordable. Although nobody spoke English, everybody was friendly and tried to help.
