This place could be a gem, beautiful location, lovely food and drinks but ruined by a very rude waiter (middle aged English man with slightly crazy styled hair). He was rude straight from first point of contact and at every point throughout our visit. I was told I was untravelled as I did not know what ‘Grog’ was which is on the drinks menu, which I personally think is nasty and unnecessary. All he needed to do was just explain what it was. When we said we could take our business elsewhere he said and I quote ‘it’s not my restaurant, i don’t care, I don’t own it’. Visited twice for lunch on our skiing holiday, both times had such good experiences. All the food was delicious and very generous portions, the waitresses friendly and fun and contrary to what others have said, they work SO hard and definitely were not rude! We had to wait for a table for about 20 minutes during half term week, but they have a fair system you write your name on a board, and they call your name when a table comes free. That 's why they shouted at the people who reviewed above who tried to sit down at a vacant table, I guess, because they weren 't next in line.
