How do you decide which to chose when the city is full of Tapas restaurants? Well we were recommended by the staff in our hotel as her favourite place. The bar is more modern than some and indeed there is a slight nod to modernity in the menu choice. The food was marvellous with a newer choice of the puddings. The place is very busy, and used as a bar as well, there is a steady turnover of customers. This probably creates its own problem with only 2 staff working out front regularly, they are working extremely hard but we were kept waiting between orders and again for the bill. Would I go back? Yes for sure: some of the best food we had on a tour of the north of Spain.
Updated 2022. Has much of the same and it is still excellent taste wise. However, the presentation of food has gone down slightly. But no deal breaker for me. All about taste and good service. 2021 Review. Enjoyed the food very much. It is rich and tasteful. You have a small dish for a single traveler, I get to taste different foods. Service was fast and friendly, although it is busy. Very recommended! Hatte ox meatball, black spaghetti with Alioli, pork cakes in chimichurri sause, vegetable tempura, cod and torrijas for dessert.
Visited on the recommendation of our hotel reception and a great choice. All staff very friendly and efficient, the selection of tapas was huge and the ones we tried were delicious. Wine they recommended was just as requested nice and dry. I nearly fell off my chair when the bill arrived it was so cheap, tremendous value for money.
