La Bonne Table De Grandcamp

We were driving along the coast after visiting Point du Hoc, Omaha Beach, and the American Cemetary. Saw a sign offering hotel rooms, so stopped. Booked a room and had dinner. This is exactly the place we love to find. Inexpensive, simple, and clean. Dinner was very good and menu varied. My husband had beef and I had seafood. This is a husband and wife operation.

Staff not very friendly, when you make compliments to Madame, not even a thank you... unbelievable, but true. The food was good, but not exceptional, except for homemade fries, which are becoming increasingly rare these days. A positive point all the same, they accept dogs.

This place is friendly and honest. The food can be very good and is always well priced. It may not have the view over the port that the posher places have and the restaurant room is a little bit basic but hey, you'll get a good meal without breaking the bank.

Excellent cuisine!! From the outside I was perplexed but as soon as I tasted the first bite I realized I was eating fresh and well-cooked genuine products. And... with prices well below the French standard. Highly recommended!

Food was very poor under cooked (raw) or burnt, wasn't made to feel very welcome either. Its a shame such a beautiful location
