La Botte D'Oro - Reserva de mesa

A pleasant surprise. My husband and I hadn't been here for some time and on previous occasions it had been a bit lacklustre. However, after purchasing a scoopon we went last night and were very surprised by just how good it was. I started with the Spaghetti Carbonara and it was fabulous. Spaghetti cooked perfectly al dente and the sauce was creamy and just a little decadent. My husband had the penne all amatriciana and it was also cooked to perfection. Our main courses were equally good, barbecued octopus and veal pizzaiola. The service here isn't bad. It was fine but seemed a little brusque by one of the waiters whilst the other ones seemed really friendly. I had the Antipasto Della Casa Misto (2 people). It was a nicely presented plate of food. Very tasty. I then had the Ravioli Papalina. It was ravioli filled with spinach and ricotta. It was served with a ham, mushrooms and cream sauce. Pretty sure it was bacon instead which was fine. The ravioli itself seemed store bought and not freshly made. Tasted dry at the edges. Wish I had gone for the pizza instead as they looked good as sitting near then pizza oven. Overall good but not great.

A favourite of my boyfriend's, he’s being going here for 10+ years claiming it's still the same authentic Italian restaurant it was on his very first visit. It’s now become a little regular for us, we make the trip out the Leichhardt especially for dinner at La Botte D’oron every few months. We always ordering the antipasto plate. For mains we ordered the mussels, and a daily special (which seems to be a special majority of the time we dine) the Whole Lemon Sole. They lost our mains docket this dinner, which we didn’t mind at all we were enjoying the wine and ambience outside chatting. Highly recommend visiting.

Visited this place on a Tuesday night and it was pretty busy. They have $20 all you can eat pizza on Mondays and Tuesday's. The pizzas on the menu were pretty traditional. We ordered one with the lot and it tasted great. The ingredients tasted like they were all sourced from a quality Italian deli. We also ordered the linguini prawn with garlic, zucchini and cherry tomatoes and that was also fantastic. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce complimented the dish really well. Fantastic!. We had a great experience here. The food and service were both fantastic. I rarely order pizza out because I am often disappointed but this was delicious and seemed very authentic. The pasta dishes looked less impressive but I was informed by my companions that they were also very good and my very fussy son polished off a much larger serving size of pasta 'bianca ' than he usually would. The staff were friendly, the service was swift (but not overly so), prices were reasonable and the atmosphere was good too.

I've dined at La Botte D'oro a few times in the past year. Twice I've been there with my boyfriend and more recently I went there with a group of friends. Each time I've been the food has been delicious, service has been friendly and it's also great as this restaurant is BYO. There is a reason why this place is still open after over thirty years.

Read the reviews and hadn't gone as a result! But looked renovated and busy so gave it a shot. We think it was one of the better experiences we had had in oz. friendly service, food was yummy and felt like am authentic Italian out of Florence. A great night had by all including my two young boys!! Thank you we will be definitely going back!

I’ve found the cheese inside my calzone a bit too salty, so when I tasted my friend’s boscaiola I’ve found it tasteless but probably just because I had my pizza first and it was too tasty. Not much choice of desserts.Good value money and very nice staff. Reserva una mesa ahora

Fantastic pizza with delicious base at this small classical italian restaurant. Staff are friendly and so cheerfully italian. Seafood is also always fresh. Would definitely recommend as one of my favourite italian restaurants in sydney.

Came here on Sunday for a quick bowl of pasta. Ordered the Penne vodka and my friend ordered the parpadelle bolognaise. both were delicious and generous servings. Friendly service and weren't trying to do the hard sell. Will be back :
