We beat the crowds and had a great lunch, served fast and efficiently. This place is at the foot of Versailles palace and very quickly fills up with tourists. While we were there, a very large group of students entered, and though they came in...after us, they appeared to be served quickly. I liked that the wait staff did not rush us despite the crowds that were clearly filling up this restaurant. If some reviewers have criticized this place on the basis of rudeness, I must say we observed the staff also tolerating the rudeness of tourists. It must be hard to please such a vast and wide variety of eaters who are only there in passing, especially at such good prices.
We have an hour to kill before our tour of Versailles and decided to give this restaurant a try because of it's proximity to the palace. We needed to be done in an hour and were worried about time due to our previous experiences at restaurants in France taking longer than we thought. They were out of Baguettes so we both ordered hot sandwiches which came fairly quickly, and we were able to make it to our tour. The food was nothing special but was good and we were done quickly I would eat here again if I needed something quick near Versailles.
The place is conveniently located just outside the side gate of the Chateau. The servers communicated with English but you really need to try to get their attention because it was very busy. Once you placed your order, just sit back and enjoy the surroundings. I got to have the escargot since our local tour guide told us that it's worth trying, which I really enjoyed. We enjoyed our meals and had enough time to join back with our group.
This is a simple, no frills brasserie very close to the palace and some very tourist-haunts that go under the guise of restaurants! My wife and I both chose the menu du jour - a simple steak/frites. Coffees to follow and a very reasonable bill. No frills, acceptable food and and prices.

One of my favorite stops after visiting Versailles. Just outside the walls. They have good food and never pressure you. I enjoy sitting outside and eating!

An excellent "watering hole" after a morning visit to the château and offering a reasonably priced lunch prior to a tour of the gardens.
the menu was ok, prices acceptable, but purpose of the visit of the chateau is not the restaurant so please limit the waiting times

Stopped in for a quick lunch before touring Versailles. The Brasserie is conveniently located with friendly service and good food.
Not worthie the money. The servise is pretty slow. Thoug the do have menues in different languages. Overall do not recomend
