La Casa is by far our favorite restaurant in Hoboken. It’s like my grandmas cooking but healthier and delicious (don’t tell abuela). After a few years of obsessing over la casa, both friends and family also love the restaurant. Either ordering out or enjoying the hole in the wall quaint feeling in person. This weekend we asked la casa to cater our rehearsal dinner, everyone was so excited and la casa delivered above and beyond. Even with 2 hrs of traveling with the food it tasted so fresh and delicious. We ordered everything from rice, yuca, croquettas, pernil but the ropa vejia and cubanos won many people’s hearts. I am so happy that I found this place. In the heart of Hoboken you can find this hidden gem. I love how affordable this place is, I love how attentive and hospitable the staff are! And the food is amazing! My favorite is the grilled skirt steak with shrimp and the mango smoothie! During my first visit I had this dish with a side of maduros, rice and beans. They have an amazing garlic sauce to pair the dish with you can ask for it on the side but make sure you add lime to the steak and the garlic sauce on top of it. The second visit my sister had the chicken with shrimp and garlic sauce it was good too. And the tres leches was great as well. You must check this place out!
Very very verryy delicious. Definitely recommend it. We went here for my daughter's birthday dinner. From Suffolk County, LI to Manhattan for some stores. And for whatever reason we decided to cross over into NJ for dinner and it turned out to be an excellent decision. I will definitely take the time to drive out there again. The food was delicious. Steak and shrimp recommended. And 100% recommend the appetizer, Stuffed Plantains.
Great little place to eat. Seating is very limited but wait around for a seat if you have the time. I had the ropa vieja, an app sampler and the tostones. Everything was fantastic. The sampler had a great mix, wings, Chicharrón, sausage and more. The ropa vieja was one of the best I had. I got a little excited and ordered the wrong sides so I missed having plain rice with the vieja. Highly recommend if you're ever in the area
Best Cuban restaurant in hoboken. Super nice people that work there too. I ordered a soda but they forgot to give it to the delivery guy. When i called to tell them they weren’t bothered at all and said they would take care it. They made up for it by sending me two sodas. Super nice, great food. They are a small restaurant and get super busy so be patient. It is absolutely worth it.
My friend and I visit at least once a month. La Casa never fails to deliver tasty authentic dishes. I’m Puerto Rican, so I was so happy to find a place I can go to for good food at affordable prices. Love their two waiters also, they are super attentive and are always happy to see us! The restaurant is beautifully decorated!
This restaurant was very nice, and the waitresses were quite kind and cheerful. I was asked several times if there was anything else I needed and was made to feel like a welcomed guest. The food was also fantastic, and the presentation was equally stunning. If I could, I'd give this small slice of Cuba ten stars!
This place is very tiny but I came in at 4pm and it wasn’t packed only two tables taken and I had made a reservation. Very beautiful restaurant and the waiter was amazing. The food was great and they make a delicious sangria! (We brought the wine since it is a byob) loved it here!
