This was the closest restaurant to our hotel and our first impression on entering the large restaurant from the bar was wondering what we had come to. It is a very open large restaurant with the television showing sport. However once the food arrived everything...else about the restaurant went to the back of our mind and we did not even notice any distractions. the food was fantastic, in fact we went back the next night to see if it had been a lucky night. We weren't disappointed on the second night which was as good as the first and possibly better. Lobster salad is a must. I have read some negative comments from other reviews about expecting more than meat on the plate when ordering from the menu. It is typical in Spain to only get a hunk of meat (which is usually excellent) if that is all that is ordered, you have to order what you want to go with it as it is not usually served with vegetables. We will definitely be stopping in Murguia at some time in the future and dining at this restaurant.

We were staying at the very nice Hotel Nagusi nearby and this seemed to be the only place in town serving dinner. After initially being ignored sitting outside, we went inside the restaurant and were served. They didn 't have an evening set menu, but otherwise...had a reasonable selection on offer. I opted for the two types of pork on a hot portable barbeque , sorry I cant remember the Spanish name! That 's what arrived, a large portion of pork, no veg, potatoes or garnish. They did put a few sauces on the table to share. The meat was very nice. My friend did have a few other bits on his plate. The desert was OK. Overall OK, but not cheap.

We were at the hotel that is connected to the restaurant, and the food is sooo good. High quality ingredients and cooked Basque style, which is very special. We had the seafood soup and it was so good. The tortillas in the morning are delicious and... the pintxos from 12 o'clock are so beautiful to see and try more! Calamares are one of the best I had. Service was very good and Gustavo was friendly, attentive and efficient. There is a playground opposite the restaurant, so great location for families.

We both ordered a Entrecot as the main course (does). The meat was not properly cooked (rare???) with many strings in the meat. My wife had to order a sharper knife to cut it. And most meat was not yet edible....The experience in this restaurant was so that we will not taste this restaurant again.
