We three friends went to La Cascade in a fancy hotel called the Solitude. We had asked to sit outside, overlooking the Gave River rapids, but the weather changed into clouds and lightning. We were moved inside. The waiter was personable and efficient. We enjoyed a bottle of Saint Emilion with the meal. One friend enjoyed her Pyrenees trout. Another friend and I ordered the fan of duck, a presentation of duck in the shape of a fan. While the duck was correctly cooked, it was still a bit tough. So I did not actually complete it. Intially we had a wobble moment when the day before we walked in and the reception we got was very hostile. However having reserved the restaurant we got a more warmer welcome from the lady but not so welcome from the male waiter. The food was very good standards. The service was very good. They even got a free cake for our mums 75th birthday. Paella was very tasting. Wine was good standards. The price was really reasonable. Highly recommend it. Jus need an improvement in hospitality.

Lovely, smiling staff and small care! Perfect location of the hotel with nice view of the Gave and the Cascade for us. On the other hand, disappointed with the room, it was hot (defaulted air), occult curtains that do not occupy the light, very weak wifi and mini bar empty.

Do not deserve 4* the room is old with carpet, impossible to open the window to air. Very (too) narrow parking. Otherwise the location is top, the welcoming staff and the pool is pleasant. For 1 night it's enough
This establishment is well located. The staff is really at the top, especially the restaurant's room manager. The price quality report is good.
Very average, touristy restaurant and rushing to order, to clean up, my wine came late, almost half way through the meal.
Deux fois qu'on vient manger et toujours aussi bien reçu. Repas très bon et serveurs très gentils. Je recommande vivement
