We booked this restaurant based on the reviews before our holidays for a Saturday evening in July. for the price we paid, it was one of the most disappointing meals of my holiday in france. The only decent element was the bottle of champagne! they have several menus (at 3 price ranges.) we chose the middle one. the entry I chose was not a good choice because the menu did not mention that it was accompanied by mushrooms. To be honest, I don't understand the exuberant critics of this restaurant. The last time I was here two years ago, it was still good French home cooking. This time, everything was just "it's okay." Most of the dishes are literally drowned in the cream, the meat (between side) was more tense than the meat, only the salmon was drowned in the cream sauce, which was still a pity. we don't want to talk about dessert - here convenience has touched everything - and also the cream of the aerosol bomb. it is a very authentic French restaurant. full of French and they offered a menu of good value for money. the 40-euro version was quite complex, so we chose the simpler version to 21 euros. It was very tasty but not big. The cheese was beautiful. First class. the choice of wines was wide with respect to champagne, not bad for the red but rather limited for the whites. the wines of the house were of a very good quality/price ratio. overall a pleasant evening. highly recommended.
this time, our pleasure trip in france brought us back to epernay on the path of Normandy's return. For the first time, we visited this restaurant there. There were three different menus to choose from, at 2195 euros, 2895 euros and 40 euros. each of these menus was worth it, as was the accompaniment to champagne for 30 euros. good caring service, no nestled water, but badoit, a beautiful classic interior. Keep it that way!
