This is definitely my favorite taqueria on the San Francisco Peninsula. The ingredients are always fresh, and the dishes are well-seasoned and authentic. The only reason I’m not giving it five stars is because of inconsistencies in food preparation. I'm not sure if they have a high turnover of staff, but since reopening after COVID, they haven't been able to maintain a strong level of control over food quality.
The tacos were uninspiring and lacking in flavor. Although the ingredients were present, the overall taste fell short. The carnitas were rather bland, and the chips were stale. The salsa was dry and not very enjoyable. While the service was satisfactory, it felt like the staff was overwhelmed. I would expect this kind of food in a strip mall in South Dakota, not just 15 miles away from the Mission District.
Delicious food and an excellent team, but the service could be more friendly. Additionally, the handicapped door button is broken, and the doors do not stay open, making it difficult for those with disabilities to enter unless someone kindly helps them.

The hospitality of the workers is top notch. The pricing of the food is very fair. I wish they offered seasoned tofu as a protein option for people who don't want to eat meat.
