I wanted to find a beachside restaurant and chose this one as it seemed a little more down to earth than some of the others on offer. The setting is fantastic you can look down the cliff and see it long before you can reach...it. You can of course drive down but where is the fun in that?! I knew we had found the right place when I realised we would have to wait for a table and all we occupied by locals and not tourists. Of course, you don't have to eat there for the gastronomy or the sympathy of the boss because you won't find one or the other. On the other hand, the service is smiling and effective, and the framework is rather not bad. side plates, nothing stiffening: small portions, very poor quality, zero originality. apart from the frame, there is unfortunately not much to save; I ordered a combined plate, beautiful promise of great disappointment: eggs not fried at all and barely cooked, fries that are not (frites apples) frozen and very dry, industrial piperade, industrial confite sausage. The cata! Too bad to find this type of cuisine in such a beautiful environment as erretegia, Basque gastronomy is rich enough to be able to offer much more.
It's not a kitchen that's gonna blow you to the ceiling, but its, it's its situation almost on the beach with a great view. It's nice, , it's not very aesthetic without being a wart, it's in the hands of servers full of goodwill, but probably more interested in surfing than by the service, and we can understand them. Access is not obvious the first time, but the effort is rewarded, especially by the view.

Second visit in 2 years in this paillote. I was dythiranbic last year as much this year the experience was missed. 3h30 waiting for entry and dishes for half of the dishes without interest (including salad and fish.) I can understand that some services are being overwhelmed by the world, but a small word of excuse from staff or management would not have been luxury. Too bad.
Love this place. Tried several of the more expensive restaurants in the area but this is the place we all wanted to come back to. Small menu but everything on offer is cooked to perfection. If you're after a super seafood meal at down to...earth prices with a view to die then look no further. We'll certainly be back.
When we lost, we found ourselves on this beautiful beach of erretegia and we took advantage of it to drink a drink. The atmosphere is relaxed and prices are quite affordable compared to this beautiful setting. The panorama is really worth a visit!
There are many restaurants with sea views on the coastline but this is one of the least well-known. Known these days as Kala Txiki, it serves simple French food with an emphasis on fish. It also has an interesting cocktail menu.

some tapas, a priori simple and fresh in a naturally nice decors is not a scam or a starred restaurant, but ok to take a break
