I live here and I know this place well. I have been several times. My first experiences a couple of years back were great and would of reccomended it to other locals and tourists. This year (I have been a couple of times the whole experience is pretty shocking considering the high prices and I will not be returning again. Firstly the service! Most of the staff are clueless and seem to have no knowledge or authority to make decisions and offer guests what they need. They all seem over worked and not happy to be here. The lead waiter (can’t remember his name is so rude, unhelpful, egotistical and argumentative. And he was like this in both occasions. food is average AF . The food used to be incredible, this year the drop in quality is shocking (again I’ve been a couple of times this year as I didn’t want to accept its downgrade and give it another chance . I don’t mind eating average food, but not for those prices and not when it’s served In such a tense and cold atmosphere. overall experience . The views are amazing but everything else is so below average it’s pretty shocking ! As a local I feel bad speaking badly of a business here but I can’t support greedy businesses who just take and take with no return Such a shame! This is not what ibiza is about! Also they always run out of wine, nearly every time I’ve been I have to go for the 2nd or 3rd option or sometimes 4th option. We tried el chiringuito for the first time today (it’s across the road and the overall experience was soooo much better. I know suggest people go there instead until these guys sort their issues out

Great view but... ... we have been going to La Escollera for many years because the place is beautiful. (Knowing that the service leaves a lot to be desired. But last week it was really unbearable. Prices have increased by about 20 to 30% since May (e.g. Piminentos de Padron 17.50 ... And our server was rude, incompetent and grumpy. 4 hours without a smile. You can tell she hates her job. The food is now definitely overpriced for the quality on offer. It's a shame about the beautiful place

We have been coming here for years. However this will sadly be our last visit. Beautiful setting. Staff in blue tops were not interested. Staff in striped tops were very nice though. There has been little change to the menu contents but it is very expensive now and not worth the money. Sad as it was usually the highlight of our holiday. By contrast we went across the beach to neighbouring elchiringuito and found the setting and reception nicer.

We’ve bern coming here for decades, and still love the setting, usually friendly staff, some good dishes. Also really appreciate that Escollera is open throughout winter (unlike Jockey Club) a gorgeous place to sit until Sunset. BUT it’s become the victim of its own success. Extremely expensive now, with a traffic jam of awful nouveau riche Range Rover drivers. A shame, and not at all charming.
