Had a dinner there and it was lovely. We ordered the set menu. The appetizers were both pretty substantial: the flat bread with cheese was like Panzerroti and the salad with real Parmesan cheese was excellent. Our main courses were prawns and grilled steak. Both...were pretty good in flavor. For deserts, we ordered Crème brûlée and Ile Flottante. I loved Ile Flottante as the desert and this was one of the two times we were able to get it in the restaurants during this trip. It seemed that this desert was retrieving from the local restaurants, because we saw it almost everywhere in our previous trip. Anyways, I was quite happy to be able to enjoy it again. Also, I think €26 per person for the set dinner menu was a pretty good bargain as well. overall, it was a lovely restaurant and definitely worth recommending.
Sat on the terrace with family and the view is amazing. Probably the best value place we ate in Bonnieux as everywhere commands a high price, especially given the poor strength of Sterling at the moment. The pizza isn’t the best pizza I have ever...eaten (probably because I eat far too much of it) but as a whole the experience was good and I would recommend a visit.
La Flambee is used as cooking with a wood stove. The night we were there, all the other diners ordered pizza, but we were dressed to the Daube Provokal, a beef stew that fell on the fork. It was as good as me....A potato gratin side was boiled and served in individual pigs. We started with large green salads with a variety of fresh greens. A fine meal and value.
Who goes to France to eat pizza? But if you have to, it's a pretty good place. The pizza was cooked according to Italian standards, with very friendly service and great views. If you want to guarantee a table with the best views, you need to book in advance. (You don't have to eat pizza, there are many other options.
