Visited on a cold February night expecting no other customers, but there were even families with young children present. Being winter they offer flammekueche as starter or main, which we had as a starter along with feuilletée (puff pastry case) of snails in cream sauce, followed by choucroute Royale and an Alsatian dish we have never heard of and I cannot recall the name of, but is beef slow cooked in pot-au-feu, shredded, rolled in pasty like a Swiss roll then re-cooked in juice with vegetables: it was excellent but like the choucroute very filling. Finally a bar-bar of blueberries and ice cream. with started drinks and a bottle of Alsatian Pinot Gris the bil was ~80 Euros for two. Excellen...
