This restaurant is the favourite restaurant of my boyfriend and I. They serve delicious pizzas and meat (they have a huge choice of different dishes, see photos). We return there at least twice a year, it has become a tradition for us. The service was good; the first time we arrived to the restaurant without any reservation, and they were still very amiable and found us a good table in a calm corner of the restaurant. Since the fournace for the pizzas was not yet heated (we arrived just after the opening, the restaurant is closed between 2pm and 5:30pm from Thursday to Sunday), they proposed us an "assiette valaisanne" (a Swiss plate with different cheeses and dry meat, the canton of Valais...
Soirée en amoureux un dimanche soir. Nous avons commencé notre repas avec un rosé et une assiette valaisanne. S'en est suivie une légère salade mêlée avant une généreuse entrecôte sur ardoise, le tout accompagné d'un cornalin de la région. Comme douceur nous avons pris deux coupes Baileys maison. Le service a été assuré par la patronne des lieux. L'atmosphère de la vieille forge était rustique et chaleureuse. Vivement conseillé ! !
We've visited this restaurant in last april, the food was delicious, the waiter and the owner were very friendly. When we complimented the interior of this restaurant building, the owner even offered to show us another interior side of this building which is very very classic with a medieval theme. We'll definetely be back here if we visit St.Maurice again.
