We were walking past La Goulette last week, tired, wet from the rain and a bit grumpy. I looked at the outdoor seating area and saw folks enjoying their food...saw the sign for couscous and though that this may be the thing to lift the mood. I was so right!! My family has never had authentic couscous and I hadn't had it since a visit to Morocco...we had such an excellent experience with the meat, the veggie soup and the fresh couscous. We ordered the night before a royal couscous for the afternoon. the next day, as there was waiting for the withdrawal, we were offered tea. neat packaging (in tupperware.) very fine divine seed perfectly cooked, well-fat broth and very good vegetables, all the excellent meat and perfect cooking (breads merguez lamb brochettes. generous portions, we were able to reserve without pb. euros per pers., correct prices seen the quality! for couscous lovers, this is the right address. We'll be back with pleasure!
This restaurant had a lovely atmosphere! Not only was the homemade meal really tasty, but the staff is one of the nicest I've ever met! We - the girls from Norway - with my broken French, got really helpful guides to locations we wanted to get to, and when our meal was done, the one staff member wanted to personally show me the kitchen area to ensure us it was clean and tidy. As Norwegians, we expect high standards - and we got it. I highly recommend this restaurant!Les trois filles Norvegien - MERCI!
La Goulette features classic Tunisian dishes from tagines (prepared in the classic crock pots) to couscous, to bricks (wonderful creations wrapped in phillo dough), and lovely Arabic desserts. We enjoyed the brick with goat cheese, the lamb shank tagine with prunes, crème brûlée with orange blossom flower, and mint tea. Excellent overall, with a final bill of €35 for two. Overall, 4 stars well deserved.

welcoming staff, typical of the northern africa, the royal couscous was very good, not too spicy for the western I am. the seed and accompanying vegetables are served at will. I also took a take-out dish that missed a little quantity.
bon petit restaurant, avec une belle terrasse d été couverte, sur le boulevard. prix correct, qualité et accueil à la hauteur, peut être la quantité un peu courte. sinon cela reste un endroit agréable.

the best balls!!! as always for years: reception at the top, impeccable service and delicious couscous whose balls are to fall! I always have a very good time in this restaurant. Very good!

Once we discovered La Goulette, it became our Sunday " go to dinner location". Now that we are back in Canada we mis our weekly Tangine or couscous.
