Rude staff, food at the limit of acceptable: they brought us a fillet of sea bream intruded in oil on rice and very few accompanying vegetables and simple mussels, marinating, a typical dish here with fried potatoes. The mussels weren't much but passable, the fried potatoes were unacceptable, dark brown and very greasy, they looked like the waste left in the bottom of the deep fryer. In fact, we didn't eat them. When we pointed this out, the waitress made a face and didn't answer. I immediately asked her for the bill and then she brought it to us, throwing it on the table. As we paid, we pointed out everything to the man at the cashier who, no less courteously than the waitress, did not list...

Great location – while dining, we were able to watch a boisterous but friendly match of pétanque and the sunset that turned the distant cliffs a rosy pink. Very friendly and efficient service, despite the constraints of the virus. We shared the octopus salad – the meat tender and tasty. The bowl of gnocchi was a bit underwhelming, and the single cherry tomato on top as a garnish was a bit laughable. My stuffed aubergines were tasty, although there was too much tomato sauce (from a tin) on top. There were three on my plate, but half-way through eating them, the waitress appeared with two more on a smaller plate, saying that they’d forgotten to give me the full serve. This was a bit strange! Stopped by for lunch. Good food, rude service. Pluses: Beautiful view, nice casual outdoor ambiance, good food at reasonable price, fairly quick service. Minus: When our young female server realized we didn 't speak French she loudly said No English when we politely tried to order. She wouldn 't give us the daily specials list as she did French customers either. Finally we saw lasagna on the blackboard and ordered that. It was very good! Sorry we didn 't get the male server who was speaking some English at other tables. We don 't expect French people to speak fluent English but our server was so rude and unprofessional. Still a good meal at nice price so 4 stars.

Being in such a touristy prominent landmark with a magnificent view, I had low expectations. I ended up being extremely surprised and thoroughly enjoyed the meal: local specialities, fresh products. The local wine was superb. Friendly service. A meal to remember, highly recommended.
