On route back to Gourdon from Sarlat at midday, looking for somewhere for lunch and we saw a sign to Payrignac. The restaurant sits overlooking a small lake. Plenty of local produce on the menu we both decided to try the duck burger. Good choice as we didn't want a three course meal washed down with a pitcher of house wine ...bliss.The place soon started to fill up with tourists and locals. Looking round all the meals served looked delicious.There is an outside terrace (covered) and the inside has air-conditioning.Well worth a 5 minute detour we will be going back
After first having read up about this place on Tripadvisor, we booked for dinner on a thursday evening. Although the restaurant can accommodate a large number of guests both on the terrace and inside, it was very quiet - only 4 tables were taken.Peaceful setting along a small lake in Payrignac, just 5 km's west of Gourdon.We both went for the set menu with a carafe of house wine and paid almost € 70.The food was good, but overall we still felt it was a bit overpriced.
Excellent lunchtime menu. great buffet bar for starter, excellent selection. 4 courses with wine 13 euro. Good service, fantastic views. As well as the lunchtime set menu they also offer a number of other interesting dishes. Very clean and smart restaurant, friendly service. We will be back!
Stop for lunch eating outside on the terrace. inside available with air-conditioning. Lots on the menu and every plate coming out of the kitchen had a mountain of food on it. Duck burger was very tasty. Did think it was too expensive.

We spend 4 months of the year in the area and always have lunch there on a regular basis. Food is always good as are the staff. Great vfm. Helpfully they list the weeks plat de jour by the front door so you can avoid the mique !
very affordable and pleasant meal outside on the Terrace where of course smoking is allowed . we shall certainly return but a word of caution just watch the bill .
I had a great meal recently in the Marcillande at lunchtime. I was with work colleagues, it was the third Thursday in November, the Beaujolais Nouveau day!
