On a couple's vacation, we stopped by walking back to this country hostel on the road (main axis from Aurillac to Saint Flour). Accompanied by our dog (large size) accepted without problem, we took the card for the lady (truffade ham salad from country and then horns of Murat) and a local menu for me (pounti in entry, truffle sausage and horns of Murat). The boss (seul for the kitchen and service in low season) welcomed us very well, the reactive service (when he was alone with about 15 customers, we understood, to serve). The restaurant and its owner are very pleasant and the kitchen very good for a very correct price, short an address to remember.
We spent a week in this restaurant hotel. Ludovic, the boss so to speak was very pleasant and was able to receive us with all the honors. From our first discovery of this small restaurant and hotel, we go back to the south. A clean room, a lovely restaurant, a simple menu of regional products, and a few little surprises (a free coffee, biscuit for children, a small supplement just to please... , this is what we discovered. I recommend it to all those who go or get out of Aurillac, for the service, it's really worth it!

Finally a simple and friendly restaurant that highlights the specialties of the terroir. The dishes have strange names very far from those familiar in the fast food. It's stupidly good, authentically good, exactly as in the 1960s. Believe me, it's personal memories. Another detail: forget the exterior aspect, it is inside that the charm operates in the plates.
Small local hotel on the edge of the RN that kept all the charm of old while adding personal touches (moulures, furniture auvergnats.. Ludovic knows how to receive and his breakfasts are hearty. The rooms are spacious and soundproofed. A good plan on Giou de Mamou!
a roadside inn at the exit of Aurillac on the road to Lioran with a patron at the service of customers who offer local food made with fresh products. The truffle is excellent as well as the sausages auvergnates or the meat of Salers.
By the way, we stopped at 8 after booking very little time before. The table was installed in an isolated place. The friendly welcome and excellent meal for a correct price. To be recommended.
