La Nouvelles Orleans

We were invited by friends to have dinner at this restaurant. It was our first time, but they had been there many times before. The lighting was dim and there were black and white pictures of famous jazz musicians from the south and New Orleans on the walls. As the name suggests, the food has a Southern style Cajun flavor, with dishes like Blackened Fish, Hot Shrimp, and sweet potatoes. I ordered a Cajun Shrimp dish with red peppers and rice, but found it to be overly spicy, making me drink a lot of fluids to cool my burnt lips. My son's fiancée and I were in Valleyfield to pick him up after a job. We knew about our previous trip that led him there was no great choice of Takeout/Delivery place because of Covid-19, but this time we were... for some really wonderful Quebecois cuisine. So we asked a colleague of him, and she recommended this place. After we settled in our hotel, we wanted to find the restaurant. It took a long time, but we found it. The result was incredible! We wanted everything on the menu, but for Cajun Poutine, Fish and Chips, and Linguine with spicy shrimps, and they were all absolutely delicious. Whenever we attend a show at Valleyfied College across the street, we make sure to visit this restaurant. It is always well-maintained and clean, with a comforting and relaxing ambiance. My wife and I tried the fish and sweet potato chips, which were delicious. We started off with the clam chowder, which was excellent. The portions are generous and the food is tasty. Additionally, there is a lovely quiet terrace to enjoy.

Have to been here since the beggining of the summer. They have downgraded their dishes but kept the price the same. Tonight I ordered fish and chips. The fish was tough and where there used to be a beautiful green salad with fresh vegetables was...replaced with a fast food style coleslaw. Overall not impressed. Reserva una mesa ahora

There are not many Cajun/Creole restaurants around, but this is as close as you come to the real thing! We were here twice and the service was always very warm and accommodating. You have a good bar and can make many fine cocktails and the... Meals are full of character and lively aromas.

As from the city visitors stumbled over this restaurant and were glad we did. Excellent atmosphere and service. Delicious Creole food. If we lived here would definitely go to our list of places for special occasions and celebrations.

The food at this restaurant is excellent. I loved the atmosphere, service, food quality, and decor. It was my first time visiting, but my boyfriend had been before. I would definitely come back again.
