This is easily one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. It doesn't have a Michelin star but it appears in the Michelin restaurants guide and is what I like to call a 0 Michelin star restaurant (and all of these I've been to have been excellent).It is located just over the border from Geneva, in a non-descript mostly residential and quiet street.The service is top notch, like that you'd find in a 5 star hotel and all the staff were very attentive.The restaurant is decorated all in shades of brown, in a sort of homely country style but also very modern. Ambient: The restaurant looks 'nice', e.g. nothing exceptional. I had a feeling that it is quite new, only to be surprised here with the comments old several years.Presentation: The dishes were represented as a I expected for this kind of restaurant: a lot of foam, drops of liquid food, 'caviar' made of olive oil etc. Service: Both persons were rather helpful, somewhat cold, but at least they did not bother us - in fact, I like it that way. I love this place that it's just 10 minutes drive far from Geneva border and I love the creativity of La Pagerie ;s Chef Michel Verdu who is very talented and humble.I think that this Chef deserves a Michelin star and I sincerely hope this will happen one day.The place is nice, especially after full renovation about 1 year ago, however what is unique is the food, the Menu is a "surprise" so you have to like this type of things. Gastronomique ... dazzle your senses ... Par Excellence! Savoir!From the minute you walk in the door to the minute you leave your senses are challenged. The decor is impeccable in detail. The service staff is always there willing to take care of your every want. The menu offers you mystery. You order the "Surprise" and you are dazzled. Every course of the "Surprise" meal is worth the anticipation. And every part of the meal can and purchased individually and taken home. When I asked about the meat... which melted in my mouth... I was really looking forward to eat in this restaurant which a friend recommended. The decor is quite nice but when we were there only 2 other tables were occupied.The food which is supposed to be gastronomic was wrong in flavors and in textures. Mushy and bland. It is hard to define but I and my friend really did not enjoy it.And it was quite expensive.I will definitely not go again

During my stay in France I got the opportunity to stop by this very nice place where I enjoyed delicious food and wine. The chef has a very interesting menu working with local providers and organic products according to the seasons. The meals were quiet impressive and highly pleasant to taste. I would definitely go again if I get once more the chance to stay in Gaillard.

Excellent experience and service! We were 3 and took the 7 course menu: great mix, balance, creative tastes and service at still affordable price. True that price is a little more expensive than a "standard" restaurant, but still very affordable for a significantly and truly superior treat in both culinary experience and service! A place I'd definitely recommend.

Thanks to Trip Advisor, when driving through the small town, we were pointed toward this restaurant which turned out to be among our favourite meals of all time. Menu d'Affaire at lunch for 34 Euros and the chef prepares for you an appetizer, main and dessert. Prices were steep but the food was delicious and beautifully presented. Reserva una mesa ahora

Vraiment delicieux everything was good 1 was a bit dissapointing the onion and betrute2 courses were delicious fera and the all vanilla desert that looks like a pebble.The place is very nice and near geneva.The products were good but could have used higher end products79e menu
