La Palmeraie - Reservar una mesa

Reservation process : three mails and 1 phone call my mail : I would like to reserve the 6th but if not available then 7,8,9 or 10th also OK. Answer : The 6th is full, please choose another date, full stop. Obviously this kind of intelligent debate can take a long time, anyway after multiple iterations we got a table for Sunday evening. OK yes, the grounds are beautiful (except for the toilets which are actually the beach bar toilets) So let's get started with the starters : Lobster. Oops, after 15 minutes we get informed no lobster is available was not delivered today. Full stop. Sorry, this is not supposed to happen in a one star restaurant (especially if you have only around 5 starters)....

service good, amuse bouche ok main courses dull tasteless ,tough lamb practically inedible squid sainte pierre could have been better and more succulent bread offered once and water once called for manager and the bill. we were charged for the menu and wines were supplemented we left without dessert and coffee good views across the restaurant and confident staff , who probably knew there were issues with the menu

We were staying at the hotel. Ate at the restaurant, and unsurprisingly given its Michelin star, we found the food to be excellent, not overly complicated, but brilliantly prepared. Very relaxed but attentive service, strongly recommended.

Nice location, good food and service, but I found it hard to justify paying between 30-40euros for a starter and 50 or so euros on average for the main course! Total bill for 4 people 485 euros.

We had dinner in the garden, which is a great location. The service is very nice and the menu was excellent. All in all a nice evening.
