This is a new wine bar, opened this year both furnished and stocked to a very high quality. It is friendly and family run, and English is spoken. It stocks a wide range of wines from the region as well as a selection of...local delicacies. Wine can be brought by the bottle at reasonable prices, all of good quality. Tapas for lunch or supper is generous enough to keep you going. Well worth going out of your way and coming to Bauduen if you are visiting the Gorge du Verdon, looking at the faience in Moustiers or just causing the area (north of the Var). The view across the lake is great and the village itself worth exploring.
A beautifully presented restaurant, with inside and outside eating, located in Bauduen and adjacent to the Lac de Sainte-Croix. There is a limited menu consisting of Charcuterie, Tapenade and excellent cheeses, mUch of which is locally produced. There is also a very good range of...local wines a available. The atmosphere is very friendly and the owners, Bernard and Gudrun, together with the waiting staff, make patrons very welcome. It is a very nice place to be, a very nice place to eat ‘al fresco’ and has very nice staff. I would thoroughly recommended a visit (but not expect a substantial meal)
La Papillon is an exceptional family run eatery , and has waiters and waitresses fluent in most languages, The Fayre here consists of local cheese boards and locally sourced Air dried meats along with fresh crisp salads , There is no other foods on offer...but that shouldn’t put you , Rhe reason your here is just not for the exceptional Food platters but the extensive Wine cellar, Wines range from upwards and all are sourced within the region of Provence, You will definitely enjoy the tasting and will , with the help of the knowledgeable staff find your bottle, or
super wine bar/tapas. The reception is more than pleasant, the terrace is great with lake view. The waitress was able to advise us perfectly on the choice of wine (excellent). We took a mixed charcuterie/cheese board and a terrine of foie gras (terrines that can be bought inside), and everything was perfect, we were regaled. This is a new family-run bar, stunningly set up in a traditional Provencal village cave (cellar) overlooking the Lac de St Croix in the north of the Var. If you are visiting the area, such as seeing the faience in Mouistiers or the spectacular Gorge...du Verdon, this is well worth the visit, as is the whole small village. It holds a stock of the best local wines and a selection of produce, and serves tapas only at the moment. Staff very friendly and speak English
It was 7:00 p.m., we had been drinking our drinks for a little quarter of an hour when the boss came to ask us if we wanted to take something else and if not, if he could have the table in the minutes that followed because other customers were waiting! We've finished our drinks and have gone unhappy by telling us that we'll never come back.
perfect place to enjoy excellent wines and tapas alone, with family or friends. The welcome is very warm, we feel very well and the staff is very welcoming and listening to your wishes, your desires and discoveries. The decor is beautiful and regional products of excellent quality.
