We drove around 20 minutes to get there from our B&B at La Bastide de Muriers, but it was worth the drive for our last night in the area. The drive was scenic and we had heard from Evelyn, our host, that this was considered the best restaurant in the area. She advised and we agreed, to make reservations, and she took care of it for us. Once there we parked at a parking lot a few meters from the restaurant. Look at the pictures to locate it. Initially we thought that we could not park there but that's not the case. Great choice of menus and each course was fabulous. A special family night out on holiday and we all agreed still consistently excellent food and service. A new waitress on her first day was relaxed and welcoming and remarkably knowledgeable about the food and spoke excellent English. The owner was friendly and helpful too and just as we remembered her from our last visit. Warm and relaxed atmosphere too. Many thanks and we will return soon
This smallish restaurant is just fantastic. It's been here over 40 years and we know that because we used to come here 34 years ago. The food is great and the service sensational. The two servers both speak excellent English which is handy and will willingly help with your choices. We've had the salmon, pork, steak and all we great along with amazing desserts. And the price is good too. ...and it's all in a lovely little village.
Accueil chaleureux et sympathique. Nous avons pris les menus à 28 € avec plusieurs choix pour les entrées, plats, desserts. Notre choix : Feuilleté de ris d'agneau et ravioles de chèvre ; pavé de saumon en plat ; sorbet bio en dessert. Assiettes bien présentées, cuisine raffinée et bien servie. Service efficace. Bon choix de vin à tous les prix. A recommander. Nous y retournerons.

Qu'il est agréable de trouver dans le petit village, authentique et plein de charme, de Labastide de Virac ce très bon restaurant. Nous y avons dîné deux fois, en famille, lors de notre séjour et adoré, tout: l'accueil sympathique, les bons petits plats (mention spéciale pour le filet de boeuf aux morilles), et excellents desserts. Les vins n'étaient pas en reste.
Dîner un soir, malheureusement sur terrasse couverte et close en raison de la pluie, car très jolie vue extérieure. Repas classique dans décor un peu vieillot. De bonne facture, sérieuse, mais sans créativité particulière. D'autres établissements dans la région offrent à présent des cuisines bien plus inventives pour des prix équivalents (35 euros menu de base).
Family run restaurant with huge terrasse over the valley in beautiful village. The food is amazing and the wine choices excellent and for a very reasonable price with perfect charming service. Menu does not change often but we come back each year looking forward to enjoy again.
