La Porchetta is well enough known but one of the problems is the inconsistency. I have been to some and really loved their pizzas and then some like the one in Surfers Pardise is sub standard.The restaurant is centrally located but its old and the furniture inst clean. The pizzas here are average and really no where near as good as what I have had at La Porchetta in Melbourne.The staff here need training and some decent customer skills and the pasta is fairly ordinary here too.I wound not bother going back to this one as it is more expensive then some I have been to and is by far the worst La Porchetta I have ever been too.
We visited at approx. 7pm on a saturday and got a good table. The waiting staff were efficient and attentive without being pushy. When they told us that the pizza order would be 5 more minutes after the pasta dishes had been served, they brought complementary garlic bread as an apology, without being asked. The portion sizes are good and the cost for 4 adults with beers was less than A$100.Highly recommended.
Arancini balls were massive and frozen in the middle. Had to send them back to the kitchen. The next batch weren't warm in the centre but we decided to let it go as we didn't want things to get awkward. Service wasn't great - restaurant wasn't busy but it was so hard to get a waiter's attention. Pizza and pastas were ok but nothing to write home about. I did enjoy my mojitos.
I thought the chicken avocado pasta takeaway was delicious. However, at AUD 18.50 I expected more food than what I got. I was still hungry after eating the takeout. Also, Italian restaurants in the US often provide a bit of bread and grated cheese to go with the takeout but there was none with this takeout.

I love La Porchetta it's hands down one of my favourite restaurants! Unfortunately the one at the Hyperdome has closed down so this is the only one I can go to! The food was beautiful and came out quickly and the service was great. The lunch specials are great value!
Had lunch, we ordered pizza, pasta and steak. Ordered off lunch specials menu. Not too busy for lunch, surroundings a little dark, staff friendly, food quick, hot and tasty. Not one plate had food left on it. Will be going back for sure.
Food was very delicious (especially the pizza and pasta!) Staff were very professional and friendly, always making sure everyone was happy! Would definitely recommend to everyone!
Great food, great atmosphere and wonderful service. Could not fault meals or service by friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely return next time we are on the Gold Coast.

They were not too busy when we approached them for our take away order. A bit pricey for my liking, but all la porchettas are. Food was delicious and service was great.
