La Sardinerie - Reservar una mesa

So good we went twice which if you`ve ever tried parking in La Cotiniere is quite a complement.It is tucked away down a cul-de-sac and at first glance nothing special.What is special is the fresh fish cooked in a crispy batter which is part traditional beer batter and part Tempura which results in a lovely, light crisp finish.Try the mixed fish platter which gives you a piece of hake, some king prawns and some `meaty squid` served with chips and dollops of tartare sauce and garlic mayo.

Having spent 3 days in La Cotiniere eating shellfish (as well as pate, chevre, terrine... All good!) my wife and I were craving some grilled sardines, which this place delivered. They were just what we wanted. They were part of a reasonably priced 3 course menu, with the the whole lot costing a mere 23 euros. We liked the setting too. La Sardinerie is located off the beaten track down an alley which makes for a quiter, slightly more intimate ambience which is great. Would recommend!

We stumbled across this little restaurant whilst mooching around the town. It's got a proper home cooked vibe about it, good honest food, good friendly service. Highly recommend.

Good service and very little waiting time despite it being very busy. All in all a very pleasant night, nice food and wine. Well worth a visit.

Great sea food, service speedy. Disliked being so squashed in on tiny table, but the ambience was good with everyone enjoying the food.
