We've been traveling around Europe in major cities with nice hotels and Hotel De Pavie still awes us like no other. There is no location as prime as here just beside the bell tower and walkable to anywhere in the petite village as they call St Emilion. Service is excellent with great table manners, and they also offer complimentary transport if you visit their sister chateau pavie which by the way is also a top winery. Our room is spacious, bed/pillow are sufficiently hard, and the shower facilities are top. Maybe a minor negative is the lack of variety for their French breakfast (pastries) but otherwise a brilliant stay. The reception is also very helpful and you can book with them on anyth...
What a great moment of pleasure in this magical place where everything breathes tranquility. Everyone is kind and thoughtful, which lets a delicious meal begin without any false note. Everything is only fun, perfect cooking, inventive cuisine and tastes that excite taste buds. Everything is in detail said-- so the homemade bread is perfect, and what to say butter that was on the table? The Ponclet is the best butter I’ve ever tasted, and yet I’m half Breton and I know the subject quite well! Difficult to do better, the seasonal products were wonderfully well prepared, the service and the welcome magnified the kitchen: we will come back with great pleasure!
