The hotel stands towards the top of Val Thorens and has great views from the terrace down the valley and of the mountains around. The staff are extremely helpful and are always around to help. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast is a an extensive buffet and always a good start for your days skiing Evening meals were varied and plentiful with good choices. By the end of our week we were missing some courses due to volume! With a short walk up to the top of the road behind the hotel you can access the Val Thorens lifts directly and you can also then access all the lifts down the valley to Les Menuires. Having stayed at Tango four times previously we felt it was getting a little worn so stayed next door at Le Sherpa this trip. It's a smaller hotel so has a more personal feel. All the staff were very friendly and caring. The rooms are traditional, a little small but we expected this in VT. The food was superb and the menu varied greatly each evening with alternatives being offered if needed. The bar was warm and cosy with a quiet but good atmosphere. The manager checked in regularly with us throughout the stay. Le Sherpa is in an excellent location for the VT resort. Ski in with a little walk up hill for ski out.
We have been coming to this hotel during the last 10 years at least and the restaurant has shown its sustainability good and varied breakfasts and tasty dinners as well as eye catching dessert table The staff has been very knowledgeable and professional through the years and always helpful. This hotel has always filled our expectations for a perfect ski holiday
Very nice small hotel with a personal family feel. The proprietor was present and very welcoming and accomodating. The common social areas are really nice as is the food. Our room was a bit cramped and had a budget feel to it. But on the other hand the price for accomodation was quite competitive so I guess that was to be expected. I would stay there again.

Two opinions for two periods: - Very well in seasons or after seasons when there is less world. Qualitative service, top quantities we treat each other. -Mean in season, less pleasant service, limit quantities, less well presented dishes etc. Like often in seasonal restaurant. But all of it.
Nothing to say about welcoming people, friendly smiles, good, full plates and moreover with meat and quality products from the sector, I highly recommend, We will keep very good memories of our last family meal at this beautiful resort of Menuires. Thank you again for your welcome
