We agree with a previous reviewer who said the g & t's were good, they were very tasty on a warm evening in the outdoor eating area. Of the three of us two of us had the open ravioli with foie gras, then two had monkfish, the third had lamb. The dessert we chose was ice cream served with a half Easter egg type shell that looked fantastic. This is the second time we've eaten at this restaurant, the first time we swore we'd never go back but a friend said they'd had a delicious meal in the interim. I wish I'd stuck to my guns as this second trip was no better. The food was all served tepid and pretty tasteless. Booked quite last minute with a group of friends and had the best time here. We arrived super early and was the main big group of the night. Got pretty full considering it was a Wednesday evening. Waiters were all very friendly despite our French not being tip top. Two of us the 3 course with paired wines , three people had the Chef's Surprise. Genuinely awesome pairings with great food, the few pictures I have does not do justice! Definitely go for the surprise menu if you go, it is SO worth the €55! We got some lovely wine recommended for a final swig at the bar while we wait for our cab which they booked for us. Hope weren't too rowdy, staff were so good spirited.
We went to this restaurant on a Tuesday evening on recommendation of our hostess at chambre d'hotes L'Autre Rives. It was a special trip for my husbands birthday. I highly highly recommend it as a very special lace. lovely ambience, beautiful place settings, glasses and table ware, such friendly helpful staff giving great service, fabulous wines which you can ask by the glass to be matched with your dishes. The food was exciting too. We had a really memorable evening. Just a note too, our daughter in law is vegetarian and they specially catered for her with no fuss and no loss of quality, she still had a beautiful meal.
This restaurant provided us with such a warm, interesting and delicious evening during a downpours in Albi. M. le patron obviously has a passion for the wines of the region (Gaillac) as well as other regions and so within the restaurant, there is a small 'cave' where you can buy the wines you've tasted. There is a large range of wines you can taste by the glass all served in beautiful and different glassware. On top of all this, the menus presented are as delicious as they are imaginative, perfect accompaniments to the wines. We would highly recommend this restaurant.

A very enjoyable dinner and evening. The manager and staff couldn't have been nicer, more courteous, or efficient. We were recommended to the restaurant from our nearby hotel and couldn't have been more pleased. It is a little out of the way for people to find, and not in the middle of the old town or tourist sites, so be sure to ask about it and find it. It will be worth your visit. Meal presentation and quality were first class and very good value for money. This from Americans who live in France and were vacationing for the weekend in Albi, a beautiful city.
This is one of the best restaurants we have been to in a long time. The lovely courtyard setting, immaculately cooked and presented food with an interesting and affordable wine list made it a most enjoyable evening. And the bill for a three course dinner including aperitifs and a decent bottle of wine came to only just over 100 Euros for the two of us.
Inventive food, beautifully presented. My brother and I met for our first meal in 20 years. Fine dining with an emphasis on good wine. Each wine comes with a small tag giving the details. The Sommelier chose fantastic wine to accompany our turbot and lamb served 3 ways. The deserts were particularly good.
We visited this restaurant twice, as so impressed by the first visit, the food is imaginative and good to the eye. On the second visit we chose the mystery menu, the food was lovely, the wines were suited to each course and ones I would not have chosen as a couple we always seem to play safe
