Booked a table for two following TripAdvisor recommendation. We were not disappointed! Very friendly welcome even when booking ! Met by genial host who was very warm and welcoming, we had table by the window, we were given a choice as were first to arrive....Menu has a Savoyard bias understandably. We split the Tartin starter, it was crisp, hot and lovely, would have been too much for one! Mrs had the Escalope Savoyard and I had the Pela(Tartiflette) with the local cheese, both dishes came very hot with chips and salad. Again they were superb! We dined here on our night in Chatel should have booked for another night later in the week. The food was lovely as was the service from Sebastian who reminded me of a Buddhist monk. He is so passionate about his local...dishes, so helpful, so honest seems so happy in his work. A lovely place but be sure to book. We tried to book on Feb but with it being Valentine’s Day it was full however we were thankful he just about fitted us in on the night which was my husband’s Birthday. I even missed the end of the rugby for his lovely food (a Highly recommended.
We have eaten here in the past too and it was great. It is small but so friendly with lovely local cuisine. We shared a raclette which was plentiful and yummy. We reccomend for a sample of the region's wonderful food.
During our stay in Chatel we ate here several times, without exception the service and the food as good. Well worth booking as it gets full quickly. a must try is Le Berthoud

Had a fantastic meal here. Service was excellent. We shared a raclette which was outstanding, cannot recommend highly enough. Book in advance as only a small place.
We had a lovely meal in this small cosy restaurant. The menu has a very good selection of savoyard dishes. The dishes are very tasty and the owner very nice.

Great quick service good food modest prices. We were a big group during Christmas and everything was well arranged and food was delicious
Typical Savoie restaurant and cuisine. All local dishes and all very good. And the most friendly owner. A feast every year.
