La Taverne Du Coq

A wonderful restaurant just across the border in the Rhone that is highly recommended. It is essential to make a reservation as there is really only one seating per evening. If the weather allows, the back garden is perfect and all of the food lives up to a very high standard. The set menu is a fantastic bargain (approx 44-50 euros for four courses). Very friendly and efficient service in both English and French.

Very disappointing experience. Very badly installed on very uncomfortable metal chairs. in precarious balance, backaches and guaranteed spanking. Incomprehensible for this restaurant standing. Rupture of dishes (2/8), Kitchen rather good but not related to the price. Nice and efficient service.

The shortage of labour force involves the employment of young people who are unskilled, who even with their goodwill and kindness, does not allow to give the maximum rating, as for the excellent cuisine. We'll be back.
