It was my first time to taste an authentic Mexican restaurant and they did not disappoint. I ordered fish tacos that eaten my first time, and they were delish...nicely portioned and had appealing plates. I also had a steakquesadilla that was great. The staff was excellent and attentive. I've been thinking about my experience and food since I left. I'm going back today because it was soooo good. Absolutely try it!
I have to say, the street tacos at La Tejana are some of the best I've ever had! The flavor is incredible, the prices are reasonable, and they offer a wide variety of authentic meats to choose from for the tacos. This is by far the best hidden gem Mexican restaurant I've found in the entire St. Louis area. The photos aren’t the best because I took them after devouring the first four tacos quickly!
The service was quick and friendly. I ordered the consomé de borrego to go, and I was very pleased with it. The flavor was truly authentic and fresh. The rice and beans were also delicious. I will definitely be back to try other dishes!
