I am sorry to have to say to all the enthusiastic reviewers of this place that La Trinquette is by no means the fantastic place that they are so vividly recommending.I have found the menu limited, the choices not in tune with what you would expect to find in Provence, the service austere and the general atmosphere rather reminiscent of a pub than of a fine cuisine restaurant.Customers and passers-by alike, were rather captivated by the party atmosphere upstairs, which belonged to the dining room of a political club.
We went for dinner with 3 children and we're welcomed.The staff we're very helpful with some of the menu we couldn't work out, as our French is pretty basic.The food was delicious and the kids enjoyed the meals. There is no children's menu,rather half serves of the adult menu.A great night and we booked again for 2 nights later!
Managed to book the balcony for a romantic dinner, lovely but in July at 7.30pm you need your hat, sunglasses and cream. If you have trouble with sun wait until at least 8.30pm. The food and wine were excellent and the bill reasonable. Friendly place not fine dining, we really enjoyed eating here.
