La Vue Waterfront Restaurant

I took my partner the Brisbane for her birthday, a weekend getaway from the daily grind of work, kids and everything else that fills our busy lives.When I was planning, La Vue stood out to me as something a little bit different. Less like the majority of fine dining restaurants in Australia, which are generally all about the bankroll that enables them, and to a degree rinse and repeat the same experience for all that attend.Both myself and partner are foodies, I come from a restaurants background also, so really appreciate when I find a place where people do what they do for the passion of what they do.La Vue is just this. I was made to feel special when planning our dinner out, including having a bottle of Champagne with chilled glasses waiting for us.The atmosphere in the restaurant was like stepping into your own private dining room.The service was deliberately relaxed, and just right. We felt perfectly looked after, and adapted the menu to give us almost a degustation type of evening, combining specials with menu brilliance.The traditional French influences were perfectly executed and food to die for.Couldnt recommend a better place to enjoy a special evening, particularly an intimate time with your special person.Thank you Ronaldo and team. We will be back as soon as we can.

Jetted in from out of town to treat my Mum to a surprise dinner for her 70th. The staff were friendly and cooperative and did everything they could to make it a special night for our Mum. The menu had much to draw attention, and the specials were irresistible. Lovely clean flavours with a satisfying richness in both the seafood bisque and the pork rillettes. The reports on the scallops were extremely favourable. The portions were decent and everyone was sated after mains. A good selection of Australian wines, and a stunning view of the Storey bridge to cap off a brilliant dinner. Many thanks again to Chef Ronaldo for his attentiveness and care.

I booked a table at this restaurant some weeks before my wife's 70th birthday on 4th July after reading reviews from Tripadvisor as we had not eaten out in Brisbane before and had no idea where to go for a nice evening.The food was exceptionally good and from the moment we arrived until the moment we left the whole experience was perfect.

We have enjoyed romantic dinners for two as well as family event celebrations at this lovely restaurant. From the warm welcome at the door through superb food and well matched wines we can always count on a great night with great service from the first rate team at La Vue. We plan to return regularly and highly recommend it!

As the name indicates, the view of the Story Bridge and the Brisbane river area is superb. The cuisine and service were both well above par and a pleasant experience. I will be adding La Vue to my rotation of restaurants in Brisbane CBD on repeat visits.
