The food here was so so good. The location and ambiance is too. Also the service was also good. The prices are very high but for a once in a while occasion it is worth it. We went here during the pandemic of 2020 in August and they had both indoor and outdoor dining. We requested outdoor because it was a beautiful day and was sat withing 15 minutes. I ordered the Rotolo and my Wife ordered the Petto di Pollo Milanese. They were both amazing. For desert we ordered the tiramisu which was also amazing. I was impressed from beginning to end with La Zara. I had the veal with mushrooms which was very savory. My fiancee had the chicken parmesan and the gravy was excellent. La Zaza side of pasta was a standout. They are not afraid to use the garlic and that works well for us. I tried my friends Roasted chicken which must be marinated for hours because the flavors where infused straight through to the bone. The service was very attentive and friendly. They loose one star for not following mask protocol. None of the servers were wearing masks, so we won 't be back until masks are no longer needed.

I visited this restaurant for the first time and it was one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. The service was excellent and the decor and location were beautiful. I ordered the whitefish with capers in a lemon butter sauce with spinach and it was incredibly delicious. The portion size was perfect and the dish was prepared perfectly. The dessert, Turtufo, was also a pleasant surprise and exceeded my expectations. I also tried the beautiful beet salad, which was a nice change from the usual options. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant soon.

This is a charming spot for a romantic night out. I have only ever sat at the bar, where the low lighting can make it a bit difficult to read the menu. However, I really enjoy the cozy atmosphere created by the dimmed lights. I am giving it 4 stars because they change the food menu every 3 months, which was unexpected. The food was okay, not the best not the worst. 1 app, 2 entrees and 3 drinks was 99 which seems like it 's a little on the high side. But the service was not great. As we were leaving someone on the wait staff yelled make sure you wash your hands too at us because we were wearing our masks in the public area of the restaurant. Sorry we 're just trying to do our part and keep everyone safe and healthy. That 's the last time I go back to ZaZas.

Had a great evening at La Zaza's! A little expensive, but the food is delicious, the staff is incredibly friendly, and the outdoor seating is excellent for a romantic date night it's right on the river and in the heart of St. Charles. Plenty of opportunity for people watching too! I would absolutely recommend this place!

We have wanted to try this restaurant for a long time. Went there tonight with another couple. See ordered a couple appetizers and four different dinners. The service was fantastic, even though the restaurant was really crowded. Food portions were quite generous and extremely good. Definitely will come back

Great Italian restaurant situated in downtown St.Charles. The food is delicious, and I have never been disappointed. The atmosphere is very welcoming. This Italian restaurant has a classic look and all the staff are great. The service was good and the food was delicious. We tried all the specials of the day and be warned, the portions are huge! I ended up sharing with others because there was so much food.

The food was flavorful and fresh. The ribeye was delicious, cooked at the correct temperature there was just a tad bit too much seasoning. The salad was fresh and chicken was tender. Good quality and fast service
