Lace Market Hotel - Merchants Restaurant

Great hotel. Rooms were clean and spacious. Lovely little restaurant on site, little pricey but food very tasty. Staff friendly and helpful. Great selection for breakfast. Location is spot on, a short walk to the town and plenty of places to eat/drink. Be aware of car park fees. There is no parking around the hotel so you need to park in a local car park. We paid £32 from Friday-Sunday.

A great location within walking distance of the train station. The creaky floorboards are slightly offputting and the rooms seem rather hot at times but these are minor quibbles as the hotel is in a lovely area with many eating options nearby.

Drinks are quite good. Food is surprisingly poor considering it shares a kitchen with Merchants. Great for a drink, eat elsewhere.
