Having read the mix of patron reviews, we tried to go to Ladyboy with an open mind. We are Richmond residents and once a week we go to a different restaurant as our mid week treat.Unfortunately, like a number of other reviewers, we were quite disappointed. Whilst the service was attentive, the quality of the food was lacking. Firstly we were surprised to see the limited number of food options on the menu, particularly in the curry section, which appeared to only have 3 options. In theory this should be a great restaurant given its quite highly prized location in what has increasingly become one of Melbourne's better known restaurant strips with good Yarra Trams public transport access.However the 'experience' here - I use the word advisedly - was an utter disappointment.Portion sizes were small but far worse was the absolute lack of quality in the food.Notably, the table next to our group left their meals almost untouched. They were a party of four including a couple of teenagers.As the bookies might say for the 'nags' at the races, 'better value elsewhere.'

Ladyboy was a favourite of ours and we were hoping the new owners wouldn't change a thing. Went there tonight and were disappointed that our go to meals (chicken ribs n pork hock) were no longer available. Food was good but not worth the money when Victoria street is so close and you can get the same quality of food for half the price. Time to find a new Richmond favourite.

Very Melbourneish restaurant on Bridge road. Friendly staff, food very good, if a tad overpriced. Vaguely Thai atmosphere!
