We recently dined at a restaurant at Pine Lake during our stay. We had a reservation for 7:30pm and were seated promptly upon arrival. Our drink order was taken a few minutes later by a friendly server who was helpful in answering our questions. After placing our food order, we experienced a long wait before our meals were served. It took nearly an hour for our food to arrive, and there was a lack of communication from the staff about the delay. Despite having 4 staff members for 16 tables, there seemed to be confusion in service. After finishing our meal, we had to wait again for our plates to be cleared and for the dessert menu. During our walk along Capernwray and the River Keer, we stopped at Pine Lake for a quick drink. There were plenty of seating options inside and outside, but we chose to sit outside to enjoy the views of the lake on this beautiful day. The staff in the bar were friendly and welcoming, and they had a good selection of drinks at reasonable prices. The setting was peaceful and the views were stunning.
During our three-night stay, my wife and I decided to have a few drinks and order Fish and Chips to takeaway from the restaurant on our first night. The meals were delicious and reasonably priced, typical of what you would expect at a holiday resort. The staff, both behind the bar and serving, were very friendly.
