Update of my review, from 5 stars to 1: the staff changed and I had one of the worst customer experience of my life. My husband ordered over the phone, they tell us to come in 45 minutes. We arrive a hour later, and we wait about 20 minutes just to talk to someone, other customers were already complaining. The cooker finally arrives (she was outside of the restaurant...okkkk) and doesn?t greet back any customers. Then, my husband finally gets the chance to talk to someone (the cooker), and she tells him to wait 40 minutes they are starting to...
Lala Caribbean is my go-to place for budget-friendly Haitian cuisine. The staff here is friendly, although the service can take a while. Still, the $5.50 specials are definitely worth the wait. While the food quality can vary, I typically opt for the fried chicken or griot. The ambiance isn’t particularly noteworthy, but it is clean. Ms. Lala is a real treasure, and my daughter adores this restaurant.
The plantains were excellent, offering a unique flavor profile that's hard to find elsewhere. The spice level is just right, and the ingredients are combined in a way that sets Lala apart from typical kitchens, making it truly interesting. The bean sauce is also quite good. Definitely give it a try if you're looking for something different!

The food is always top-notch, but I'm puzzled by the long wait times for the dishes. Even placing a call ahead doesn't seem to make a difference. Don't they cook in large batches?

The restaurant offers excellent food, a fantastic ambiance, friendly customer service, and convenient parking right outside the entrance.
Lala Caribbean is absolutely exceptional! The food is amazing, and the service is impeccable; they certainly deserve an A+.
