L'Alivu - Reserva de mesa

Although out of season it when we visited, it was difficult to see why this restaurant was so quiet. It has clean modern lines but a Corsican feel to the decor and certainly the menu. Service was prompt without feeling hurried and nothing was too much trouble. On our annual visits to Corte, this restaurant in the main street but outside the really crowded tourist area, is a favourite.

In L'alivu everything is made out of hood. The food is traditional, authentic and really nice. I particularly enjoy the cheese beignets that taste like nowhere else. For lunch, dinner or whatever else, L'Alivu is the perfect place to hit. You always feel welcome there :

Got very good food for good value. The owner was extremely nice and was happy with us having a stroller and an infant with us. In the end he gave us a sample of mystery wine made specially for him.
