My family and I made a reservation at l’altevic for New Years (December 31st) weeks in advance. On December 24th, I called the restaurant to confirm the reservation and to ask about the menu. They then informed me about the outrageous price of € 150/per person, no no drinks included), but Ok! we were willing to go there since reservations on this time of the years are always hard. Today, December 30th, I called the place again to ask for a special menu for a vegetarian person and they informed me I no longer had a reservation. They claimed to have send an email, asking for yet ANOTHER confirmation (which I did not receive). When I called, the hostess was very unhelpful rude and snob. I would...
We were on December in Colmar and it is near the city. The restaurant is beautiful and the food is awesome! Is it worth to visit it!! We found this place thanks to the recommendation of another restaurant and we couldn’t be more delighted. The place was amazing, super elegant and warm. We enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and the kindness of the owners, besides the food of course! They had three Christmas menus, which were unbelievable! Every bite was surprising and tasty. The chef is a genius and his mother a really great woman. We appreciate the effort of all of them to try to communicate with us, even when we don’t speak French! Thank you very much for the best Christmas Eve dinner!
Yesterday we had an amazing time during dinner in Hattstatt's L'Altevic restaurant , so today we've returned! Not only do they serve amazing food, but also everyone is welcome, including furry creatures like Shae Imagine a perfect place, where everyone can receive exactly the type of diet they prefer: if you're vegan or vegetarian, the chef will prepare something wonderful for you, if you prefer fish, there's also a dish waiting for you. And the desserts, just incredible! Here comes the secret: they all have extensive knowledge in the topic, they do collect many ingredients themselves e.g. in the mountains. We're in love with this place and its people above all
After a long trip from Champagne to Alsace, this is definitely the best restaurant we tested,out of many. Here the complexity of French cuisine is not an excuse to cover rotten ingredients, but is a recipe for integrated excellent dishes. You realize this from the beginning, from the bread. One only criticism: you one dish is not of satisfaction to customers, do not charge it; it is a question of style. Your prices are already high enough to sustain this.
